If you’re feeling a little overwhelmed during this pandemic, remember how empowering it can be to reach out and help others while social distancing. We pride ourselves in being a part of our community, here are some suggestions of things we can do to help others:

  • Stay connected using social media. Many people are practicing social distancing & for those who are alone they may appreciate a quick message on Facebook, or pick up the phone and call a friend or family member.
  • Donate to your local food bank. Many food banks are struggling right now so if you have some extra items on your shelves consider donating them.
  • Buy gift certificates online or by phone to support local small businesses in your area. You can use the gift cards yourself at a later date or give them as gifts later in the year.
  • Help by delivering groceries to people who are vulnerable, self-isolating, or in quarantine.Just be sure to wash your hands before and after touching the items you buy, make sure there isn't any in-person contact during drop-off, and don't go into their home.

Although this pandemic is keeping us apart, it is also bringing us together to protect our community and the people in it.
